Hi! I'm Demi and I teach elementary ESL students. I love creating differentiated resources that are also fun and engaging for English Language Learners and Students with Special Needs!
My journey began a decade ago as a general education classroom teacher for 32 first-grade ESL students. Over the years working in the public school system, I had the opportunity to teach various grades and types of learners. Once I transitioned to the ENL service provider role, I noticed how demanding the curriculum was and how limited the resources for English language learners were. My experience in both roles has given me the opportunity to observe my students and the curriculum through a different lens. I began to develop and implement various curriculum modifications and scaffolds, which led me here! I hope you enjoy my resources and find them useful for your students! :)

Did your school implement the new HMH Into Reading curriculum? Are you overwhelmed with the amount of skills covered and assessed in one week/module? The module assessment covers various skills within different reading components and it becomes difficult for both us teachers and the students to know what or how to study for it! Don't worry, I've got you covered. I created this End-of-Module 7 Assessment Review Sheet for Grade 2 students to use as a reference when studying for the test! It has a quick review of the skills assessed at the end of the module. I added student-friendly examples and visuals as well! This will help prepare your students for the assessment and can supplement the program.
